Lack of data for analysis
Ryan’s Pet Supplies was trying to manually group and classify their over 8,000 SKU’s so they could manage them based on their performance. They could not, at a glance, see which SKU’s were problematic and needed urgent attention. Their sales data consisted of numerous sales spreadsheets that had to be manually run, manipulated, and configured. This all took a lot of time and frustration, and the lack of data for analysis soon became apparent.
The inventory benchmarks have been excellent for quickly evaluating trends to make actionable decisions.
Matt Kovarick, Purchasing Manager
“We implemented Netstock and finally had a single-window view of our inventory. The ability to make actionable decisions with the output data has been paramount; we can address multiple suppliers, locations, categories, and more, very quickly. We now have the ability to dial in figures to see the best possible turns with the least amount of excess,” said Matt Kovarick, Purchasing Manager.
The implementation at Ryan’s Pet Supplies was completed just prior to the COVID-19 global lockdowns, but being a cloud-based system, the deployment, setup, and continued training were all performed online. This meant zero disruptions to their business.
“We can filter by Item Class (category), Item Classification, location, or even by the assigned Buyer so they can track their responsibilities and progress. The inventory benchmarks have been excellent for quickly evaluating trends to make actionable decisions. If you’re struggling with managing inventory and spending your time on the minutia to get things done, Netstock could be the solution you need,” concluded Matt.
